The New Moon and the Full Moon are our gateway to the connection we have with extra planetary life and energy. Before electricity and the modern world that came with it took shape on earth, humanity formed societies that lived with the luminaries: the Sun and the Moon. Many of our holidays are still celebrated at the times of either the new moon, the full moon, or on the solstices and equinoxes.
Even though we don’t pay much attention to those regular celestial events, they still hold the same importance; still transmit the rays of light made by the dark interwoven into life on earth.
We can, however, become conscious of those energies in a new way. We can Get to know ourselves and our world better, allowing revelations to come, thinking and feeling in conjunction with the current transit of the sun in any sign, and its relationship to the moon reflecting its rays.
You can cooperate in creation, you can understand yourself better, and you can simply enjoy the rhythm that is already set up for all of us. Learning to enjoy the waxing as well as the waning of energies is indeed an important lesson.
A New Moon is the time to begin new projects, initiate agreements, go out and get to know the environment of your expected project, and do anything that requires a starting point. To make more of this, take a look at your chart, see in which house the new moon occurs, therefore, concentrate your efforts in that area in life.
The effects of a New Moon are shown in outward changes whereas the effects of a Full Moon are more emotional and directed inward.
A Full Moon is the time to get connected. It’s the time when humanity’s guardians are transmitting energy of revelation, ascension and understanding. Full moons are a good time to leave open chapters, attitudes and anything that doesn’t serve you or others, behind.
Many people react to these energies of the full moon with a feeling of stress, the moon is in opposition to the Sun, and therefore, we feel at odds with ourselves, with others, and especially we feel that what we want and what we can actually get are so far removed from each other, which leads us to feelings of despair and helplessness. For those people, a regular Full Moon meditation can make tremendous changes over time and habit, and help them use their emotional nature in a constructive manner.
A new moon/full moon personal horoscope can indicate to you which house is triggered by this monthly event. On a very personal level, a new moon or a full moon conjunct any of your natal planets can indicate a new phase/a culmination phase in your live connected to the influence of the affected plant.
When you read the Full Moon horoscope make sure to notice the house of the sun as well as the house of the Moon, many times your personal challenge will be to bridge those two areas of daily, rather than have them combat each other.
